In this ASE Master Automotive Technician position, the primary focus is diagnostics. You will diagnose and repair to specifications – brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer system issues—on most current makes and models of vehicles, both foreign and domestic. You may also be responsible for estimating. In addition, you will assist other technicians in performing technical and mechanical activities.
Additional responsibilities include:
Electronic transmission diagnostics, service, repairs, replacements, and overhaul
Researching the vehicle that is being worked on for service bulletins and repair info
Explaining technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals who may include other employees and/or customers on an as-needed basis
Mentoring and teaching associates while discussing problems with customers
Learning new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology Qualifications
As a ASE Master Auto Tech you must be motivated, reliable, and enjoy working as part of a team.
3+ years of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem solving, and repair experience
ASE Master Certified
Strong leadership skills
High level of motivation and energy
Must have a valid state driver’s license
Must have a good attendance history
Must have good personal hygiene and a neat appearance
Must be courteous, dependable, honest and trustworthy
Must be hard working, motivated and organized
Must be detail orientated, able to follow instructions and procedures
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift and move inventory items, trash cans and other work related items (up to 50 pounds)
Must be able to work at a rapid pace for long periods of time
Must be able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the shift
