Job Title: Business Development Manager REPORTS TO: Vice President
General Overview: The Business Development Manager is responsible the development and management of an outbound telesales organization within a Benetech Region.
The BDM will be responsible for developing and managing the processes, scripting, product introduction and quote generation process for Benetech’s Plant Products and Services Division (PPS).
The primary goal of their group will be to use social media, outbound phone calls and selling techniques to find qualified sales leads primarily in Industries outside of coal and convert those leads to ongoing buying customers. They will also be responsible for making sure that all existing PPS quotes are followed up in a timely manner with an emphasis on increasing sales through higher quote/order ratios.
The BDM must be highly motivated, target driven, and have strong training and leadership skills in order to build the
Outbound Telesales Organization. This candidate must have excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills as well as outstanding time management and organization skills.
Hires, trains and retains CRM I and CRM II positions in order to build and lead a team to execute the Outside of Coal Telesales Strategy for Benetech
Collaborate with Marketing and Field Sales Teams on territory and account based sales plan
Develops and implements strategies for inside sales in an assigned region or industry
A disciplined, programmatic approach to lead generation and quote pipeline.
Identifies and locates new leads through a variety of methods including networking, social media and cold calls.
Conducts post quote sales calls to customers to insure satisfaction and drive sales.
Conducts post product delivery sales calls to customers to insure satisfaction and drive upselling and repeat orders.
Work hand-in-hand with Outside Sales team by performing customer support that ensure our customer’s needs are being met; including providing customers timely quotations and follow up.
Prepares quotes through Benetech’s ERP system and submits them to customers.
Applies knowledge pertaining to field application and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
Develop lasting relationships through continual contact with potential clients, while enhancing relationships with existing clients.
Prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
Serve as internal sales to achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas and goals.
Identifying new business opportunities within defined market segments related to workplace solutions
Partnering with Senior Account Executives to learn industry, products, sales techniques and sales cycle.
Networking with industry partners and participating in Trade Shows.
Develop respectable working relationships with internal departments.
Have a high sense of urgency to go above and beyond to provide an extraordinary customer experience.
Utilize internal and external training opportunities to continually develop product knowledge and sales skills.
Strong leadership and training skills to develop both people and processes
Proven track record of accomplishments and over-achievement measurable business development goals in a sales environment
Experience with using social media and cold-calling for lead generation purposes
Experience using a CRM package, preferably SalesForce.com
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education and Experience:
Previous experience with outbound telesales and/or customer service
3 years of Management experience required
2 years of industry experience preferred
