Field Crew Job Description (Adventure Seekers Wanted)
Our Geophysical Services division is currently seeking dedicated field technicians to join our team. Our field services department assists in mineral exploration programs, groundwater investigations, geothermal, and oil/gas exploration. Our field technicians and geoscientists are the backbone of the geophysical services division and are responsible for acquiring quality geophysical data in specified field locations. This position would be a good fit for someone who enjoys the outdoors and someone who has experience in outdoor work during different seasons.

Responsibilities of the position include:
- Job entails traveling out-of-town 90% of the time, lodging and per diem expenses paid by the company.
- Our crews work 60-70 hours per week. Average deployments are 14-20 field days, with a break between deployments.
- Hiking various locations in extremely rugged terrain and working outdoors in all climates.
- Laying out wire to complete electrical and electromagnetic surveys.
- Carrying saltwater and bundles of metal stakes to build electrodes.
- Planting sensors in the ground to measure electric and magnetic fields.
- Ability to work independently and/or with teams of 4-10 persons.
- Digging, hammering and other repetitive motions in varied weather conditions.
- General maintenance of field equipment.
- Being an excellent team member.

Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs. and pack 50 lbs for extended periods.
Preferred Skills:
- Mechanical experience, ability to troubleshoot.
- Outdoor experience
- Ability to read and navigate using topographic maps and GPS systems.
- ATV/UTV experience a plus.
- Off road/4wd experience a plus.
- Ability to backup a trailer.
- Ability to operate equipment such as a large generator/geophysical transmitter system.
- Good communicator via radio.
- Knowledge of electronics, ability to use a multimeter.
- Detail oriented, ability to take detailed field notes.
