We’re adding another Product Owner to our product management team. This is a new position and is critical to nexVortex’s ongoing growth and expansion plans. This position will focus on the back-office aspects of running our business; think: ordering, fulfillment, billing, user support. Really, this position about Service and Service Delivery. Your goal as Product (Service) Owner is to provide our customers, channel partners and internal users with a superior, effortless, end-to-end, user experience. You will do this by working with key stakeholders, other product owners and the management team to define and build workflows and processes, back office system requirements and user portals.

To be successful, you must learn and understand our services, systems, processes and, most importantly, how our users desire to interact with nexVortex. Bringing this insight together, you’ll work with the development team to define and build the tools, systems and capabilities to create a truly Uncommon experience.

This is a senior position and reports directly to the COO and Founder.

nexVortex is a team company. In this leadership position you’ll be expected to facilitate strong communications with your fellow Product Owners, peer leaders, key departments and the senior management team; marshal internal and external resources to ensure timely delivery of capabilities and support the introduction of new services and capabilities into the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lifecycle management of Service Delivery capabilities
  • Design of service process and workflows
  • Definition of procedures
  • Envisioning the best user portal in the industry
  • Working with UX developers to build beautiful and elegant interfaces
  • Prioritizing and organizing work & requirements through Jira
  • Supporting the efforts of Product Owners peers
  • Working closely with Development team

  • Hands on experience in modern Service design. (Experience with consumer products is a plus).
  • Demonstrable Leadership capabilities
  • Knowledge of telecommunications, Hosted communication services
  • Knowledge of web development tools and best practices
  • Solid program management skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or other technical discipline
  • Master of Business Administration is desirable
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional service

Tools & Technologies

nexVortex is an advanced, high tech organization. It is expected that you are skilled in Microsoft Office suite, Visio. Working experience with Jira is a plus.

Our services delivered using a combination of open source and inhouse platforms and applications. All things communications use the SIP protocol and Erlang. Behind the scenes our developers use a mix of PHP / Perl / JAVA / C.
