How will you make an impact?
We are seeking a Buyer to join our procurement team. You will be responsible for the planning, management, allocation and contract administration of AAMC internal commodities programs (contingent contract worker, P-card, Staples, and CDW), which support Association employees as they perform their day to day activities. Additionally, you will be responsible for leveraging the most effective, cost-efficient utilization of these vendors and the services they provide.
Assist with business units in initial requisitioning of CPO program management and contingent worker services in AAMC’s financial applications (Workday)
Craft PO’s and contingent worker contracts in AAMC’s financial application (Workday)
Review approvals and updates to PO information to ensure complete and accurate PO information in the procurement system.
Work with vendor and internal partners regarding match exceptions
Supplier and business unit reconciliations on invoices
Work with program suppliers to updates catalogs with vendor part/service information
Conduct regular, ongoing spend and trend analytics, and manage the reporting requirements, including identifying recommended changes to metrics being tracked
Support Contracts team in negotiations with AAMC approved program management suppliers in order to maximize AAMC’s purchasing power and standardize products and services.
Promote a strong customer service culture within the Procurement operations team
Support internal risk and control Procurement processes
Assist with all other aspects of AAMC procurement including support of vendor research, needs analysis with internal partners
Assist with the development and maintain Procurement policies, procedures, manuals and templates, as required, for use by the Procurement staff and others
Uses the Workday and vendor third party procurement systems and processes with appropriate controls and in compliance with AAMC internal and external business requirements
Assist and train business operations and finance teams in using a consistent automated authorized requisitioning processes
Assist the Procurement team's efforts in rolling out technology platforms, including assisting in the execution of implementation plan, developing and finalizing business rules, test loads and process implementation
Work closely with the Workday vendor and internal partners on requirements capturing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and serves as central point of contact for Business Unit (BU) Vendor Management Liaisons.
Assist AAMC units in supplier data classification and migration.
Communicate with partners to drive adoption of new procedures and utilization of the Workday system
Assist and provides to Business User Procure to pay adoption and training
What will you bring to the role?
You will need a Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years experience for this role
Ability to follow detailed processes
Able to foster relationships with vendors and internal partners
A customer focused mindset
Experience with Purchase cards and contingent workers preferred.
If a bachelor’s degree is required, related work experience may be substituted in some positions. One year of college course work at an accredited institution is equivalent to one year of related work experience.
