SoHo Dragon represents an Investment Bank with offices in Midtown Manhattan. Our client needs to hire a seasoned Business Analyst with experience leading BA/PM teams in Corporate IT. This is an opportunity for Full Time Employment with the Bank. Successful hire will assume title of Vice President.

The IT department is seeking to hire an experienced IT Service Management (ITSM) Business Analyst to lead the Business Analysis and Project Management team in Corporate IT. This is a challenging position requiring a strong, proven experience in business analysis, design, delivery, project management and people management domains. The role manages multiple complex projects in parallel to successfully deliver solutions for Information Technology, specifically for ITSM, and lead a group of individual contributors and contractors to achieve organizational goals and improve efficiencies.
Successful candidate must be experienced with identifying and analyzing technology and process problems, while developing business requirements and solutions for tactical and/or strategic projects, in collaboration with Business and Technology stakeholders across the organization. Identify and document gaps in procedures, and create solutions for scalable and repeatable processes, in adherence with the compliance framework and IT best practices established. Own the management of information and data requirements gathering initiative to develop and/or streamline the operational reporting capabilities. Ensure that all the necessary processes are thoroughly implemented to take full advantage of the capabilities of the systems. The candidate must be a people manager, technically proficient, able to multi-task well, explain solutions clearly, is well organized, and has the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Take complete accountability and guide all projects under ownership through the project management lifecycle to achieve successful implementation, on time with quality.
Own the collection, documentation, refinement and prioritization of business requirements and stakeholder reviews.
Prepare and publish all project deliverables – scope documents, requirements, project plans, test plans, communication plans, standard operating procedures, etc.
Identify and keep project stakeholders informed at all times. Use any tools that are appropriate. These include UX mockups, project status reports, meeting minutes, and face to face meetings.
Lead and guide the BA/PM team members under management with coaching, prioritization, conflict resolution, and career development.
Identify, document and manage risks. Recognize issues and proactively create solutions to mitigate their impact.
Identify, document and remediate gaps in processes and ensure the alignment of IT department with GRC guidelines and industry best practices.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related business discipline(s). Master’s Degree a plus
At least 10 years of experience as a Lead Business Analyst on major IT projects
10-12 years’ work experience with ITSM or process engineering
PMP, Agile or ITIL V3 foundation certifications preferred
Process mapping/ process improvement experience
People Management experience is required
Experience as a business analyst working with RSA Archer, ServiceNow, SharePoint, or finance and accounting applications would be a plus
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
High motivated, self-directed individual with the ability to work independently and in team environments
Effective presentation skills, combined with attention to detail
Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
