Function Overview

This Fortune 500 business needs a dynamic Human Resources to change agent to provide all aspects of people leadership to drive growth and productivity in a highly matrixed environment. We are looking for a Human Resources business leader who knows how to utilize and leverage global COE (Center of Excellence), shared services and analytics to support business needs. If you have a passion for employee engagement, leadership development, and talent management and have a continuous improvement mindset, this is a great opportunity to lead a highly complex organization. A mix of experience in manufacturing and corporate settings is preferred.

Job Responsibilities

Partner with business leaders to deliver business outcomes through development and delivery of business strategy, strategic imperatives, and functional goals
Partner with HR Operations and CoEs to enable two-way information sharing on business needs, analyze trends and metrics within designated business units, develop integrated solutions, programs and policies in support of business strategy
Identify talent implications in business strategy, develop human capital strategies and drive business events (M&A, divestiture, plant closure, etc.), as applicable
Identify organizational needs and gaps, drive to build organizational capability and people excellence
Partner with business to drive succession planning and management through identifying high impact/critical roles, developing incumbents and successors, as well as identifying global mobility opportunities and candidates
Effectively coach business leaders and leadership team
Build people leader effectiveness and drive effective talent management by leveraging globally consistent talent calendar and CoE toolkits
Lead Strategic Workforce Planning and drive Diversity & Inclusion strategy in business units
Partner with leaders to develop organizational pay strategy, appropriately budget and manage annual pay planning process, and drive utilization of rewards and recognition programs
Embed a culture of continuous improvement and effectively manage change
Participate with others in completing special projects as assigned
Partner with the Plant Operation leadership to understand resourcing requirements and develop resource forecasting to ensure adequate staffing to meet business needs
People Movement per plant bid process
Lead and manage all of the recruiting activities to fill hourly roles in a timely manner
Manage local HR activities (e.g. application of local policies and practices, recruiting activities, personnel file maintenance, unemployment claims, etc.)
Data corrections
Auditing of payroll and people movement to ensure accuracy
Headcount and metric tracking
Leave management
Executing Employee Engagement at the plant

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
At least 3+ years experience as an HR generalist, management or business partner role

Preferred Requirements

Masters/MBA preferred
A mix of experience in manufacturing and corporate settings, consulting is preferred
Knowledge of Kronos and or Success Factors a plus
Uses extensive knowledge and insight about the business to fully engage in business discussions and lead People Excellence strategy to improve talent and business outcomes
Develops effective relationships with clients by building trust, leveraging networks, applying HR expertise, and measuring and ensuring business results
Creates an effective and strong organization by utilizing organizational diagnosis tools, leveraging organization design principles, and building organizational capabilities in line with Whirlpool’s core values to win against the competition
Applies data analytics and judgment to draw insights that inform business decision making
Uses coaching and influencing skills to successfully drive change and leaders’ ownership/accountability
Partners to lead and sustain change creating an agile and responsive organization
