How will I impact the business?
As the Compliance Consultant, you will be responsible for working with our team of producers and account managers as well as with clients to provide timely and accurate analyses of current laws regulations and other government agency guidance. They will rely on your expertise to make informed decisions.
You will provide clients with well-researched recommendations to assist clients in taking appropriate actions to conform to changes in the legislative or regulatory environment. You will provide direction and oversight for the local compliance consultant relating to new projects as well as day-today activities.
You will assist in drafting, editing and producing any newsletters and technical bulletins.
You will interpret source materials and provide guidance and advice to branch office staff as well as corporate staff
You will guide client service staff in developing appropriate action steps to assure legal and regulatory compliance
You will host internal employee training on selected legislative and regulatory topics
You will provide prototype information summaries, compliance checklists, model letters and other consulting tools needed to support consultants and account managers
You will support the compliance Helpdesk as necessary to answer compliance questions from consultants

Do I have what it takes to be considered?
Bachelor's Degree and 10 or more years related professional experience in the benefits/ insurance marketplace
We desire a Juris Doctorate(JD) but may consider applicants with relevant professional experience
This role requires a deep knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, cafeteria plans, nondiscrimination rules, HIPAA and other federal, legal and regulatory issues

Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
