Analyze actual and predictable interacting operational activities of a military, governmental, or business system to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making or resource allocation. Utilize modeling and measuring techniques, mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematical techniques, and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines in determining solutions. Leverage comprehension of mathematical and statistical concepts, computer science and domain expertise to bridge the gap between technologists and mathematicians, ensuring software solutions meet analytic requirements.
3+ years of experience with data analytics and data visualization
Experience with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and VBA
Experience with SQL or other database query language for data manipulation
Ability to present results from large or complex data sets in a coherent and clear format
Ability to analyze, synthesize, and summarize information for decision making
Ability to work independently and address ad-hoc challenges
Ability to navigate a complex matrix environment and manage competing priorities
BS or BA degree
Experience with data management
Knowledge of DoD and Department of Navy (DON) Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes
Knowledge of authoritative DON databases, such as DITPR-DON and PBIS/PBIS-IT
Ability to comprehend stakeholder needs, communicate development plans, and track progress milestones effectively
Ability to successfully work on cross functional projects and teams
Possession of excellent problem-solving skills
Possession of excellent communication skills, including briefing senior leadership
BS or BA degree in Applied Mathematics, CS, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
