A new Veterans Affairs Project is in need of Specialists such as yourself to perform a variety of case reviews on a 1099 basis. This is remote work that may be performed in your spare time at your leisure. Training is provided for each type of review should you have the need.
We are searching for:
° Licensed Mental Health Counselor
° Licensed Practical Counselor
° Licensed Vocational Nurse
° Nurse Practitioner-General Practice, Mental Health
° Occupational Therapy
° Physical Therapy
° Physician Assistant-General Practice, Mental Health
° Registered Nurse - various specialties of expertise - ICU, Oncology, Anticoagulation, etc.
° Registered Nurse - Wound Care
° Registered Respiratory Therapist
° Social Worker
° Speech - Language Pathology
The compensation for each type of review is as follows:
$125 for Executive Summary Reports
$125 for Audit Reviews
$150 Facility Requested Reviews
$150 for Routine Management Reviews and Clinical Appeals
$375 Medical Advisory Opinions
Most of the reviews take less than half an hour to an hour to complete once you become familiar with the work.
Should you decide to participate in this program, you maintain the right to refuse a case at any time.
You maintain your own schedule and decide the number of cases you are available to perform.
This is steady supplemental income for most of our outside consultants and even some of our own internal ones.
Once on panel, you would also be among the first of any to be offered new project work when we take on new contracts or develop new needs within existing contracts.
There are currently multiple other opportunities based on location and need for areas of practice.
The requirements are that you must be in active practice at least 20 hours per month.
Do not have any sanctions on your Professional Medical license or any pending malpractice claims.
Should you have any past claims, information regarding such will need to be disclosed as part of the onboarding process and in most cases where the issue is resolved, will not affect your eligibility to participate.
The VA requires us to have full disclosure.
You will need to arrange to be fingerprinted at one of the VA facilities, as this is a requirement to have access to the systems where the work is performed.
MAXIMUS does cover the cost pertaining to this.
