Electronic Systems (ES), headquartered in Arlington, Texas, is one of four L3 business segments, and provides a broad range of components, products, subsystems, systems and related services for military and commercial customers. We are searching for a Maintenance Coordinator.
SUMMARY: Under general supervision, performs various duties related to the repair and maintenance of plant facility and equipment. Accomplishes Facility Department work orders, maintenance requests, and emergency calls in an efficient and safe manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responds to daily calls related to facility operations. Accomplishes work orders on such tasks as repairing and moving furniture; hanging pictures and white boards; changing light bulbs; minor door and lock repair; trash removal; painting, replacing ceiling tiles, etc.
In conjunction with Facility Manager, assists with the coordination of outside vendors and contractors. Provides direction to and ensures that the personnel provide a quality product or service. Services performed by these contractors may include: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pest control, locksmith, security, fire suppression and alarm, roof, loading dock, vending, office furniture, janitorial, document destruction, construction, and engineering or facility consultants.
Under direction of Facility Manager, uses personal vehicle to run errands and shops for purchases and maintains an inventory of necessary repair parts and supplies for the facility and its operation.
Conducts preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance duties.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School graduate. Trade or vocational high school graduate preferred. Two (2) years experience of mechanical trades or equivalent is required.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
General knowledge of mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and office furniture systems is required. Must be able to handle mechanical moving and/or lifting devices and use power tools normally utilized in the construction/building industry. Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds. Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and drawings. Position will require frequent standing, bending, lifting, climbing ladders and working in climate and non-climate controlled environments.
The successful candidate will be based in the Electronic Systems business unit, in the Woburn, MA. area. A competitive market-based compensation package, including relocation, commensurate with the responsibilities and experience requirements will be provided.
