What You Will Do as an Account Director- Footwear & Mall Specialty

Grow sales in assigned territory. Work with current accounts and prospect new accounts to enhance the presence, presentation and sell through of Dickies and Walls products. Use insights to deliver profitable solutions for both the customers and the company.

This position will be responsible for developing the Footwear & Mall Specialty Channel. Key customers include: Champs Sports, Foot Locker, Finish Line, Hibbett Sports, City Gear, Journey’s and Buckle. The candidate would work out of the company headquarters in Fort Worth, TX. Frequent travel 50%+, overnights, night and weekend work required.

Develop and maintain knowledge of industry and retailer challenges/opportunities
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with customers and prospects
Leverage/understand how Dickies and Walls categories drive total retailer success
Develop and maintain an expertise in the Dickies and Walls products as well as the competition
Exercise strong problem-solving skills, retail math and computer skills on a daily basis
Deliver presentations to customers and internal stakeholders in person, on the phone and electronically
Develop a firm understanding of the market and develop/execute strategies to maximize sales
Maintain regular contact with customers and internal stakeholders to facilitate sales growth
Deliver excellent customer interactions through great preparation, effort and attitude
Maintains a sense of personal accountability, drives for action and results
Develops detailed account plans and strategies for growth
Collaborates with Merchandising, Marketing and Operations to executed on account plans
Prioritizes business opportunities to ensure the team is focused on the most important
Consistently delivers on sales metrics
Have a firm understanding of sales results, sales funnel and be able to explain what is going on in the business
Gather and maintain data on sales, shipments, inventory levels, forecasts and current trends and generate corresponding reports
Analyze gathered data and make proactive recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders
Use insights to drive customer performance
Use thoughtful analysis to provide monthly forecast updates
Utilize vendor web sites to view and analyze POS, inventory and item information
Provide adhoc reports as needed
Systematic approach to critical thinking (overcome objections / find solutions)
Collaborates cross-functionally to satisfy customer needs
Proactively communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to prevent and solve problems
Assist in new product set-up and item maintenance
Ensure all customer program requirements are clearly defined with the customer and internally
Establish and maintain open communication with buying office
Consistently completes/communicates all required reports and other tasks on time

Skills for Success:
Bachelor Degree, preference for degree in Business
5-8 years of sales experience
Experience and proven relationships in the Footwear & Mall channels
Highly proficient in Office, Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook
Experience and ability to leverage consumer insights to increase sales
Must possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Must possess analytical skills to identify opportunities
Ability identify and rectify problem resolutions
Must possess organizational skills and acute attention to details
