POSITION SUMMARY: Working as both part of a team and individually, the electronic assembler performs various manufacturing, kitting and assembly tasks including: control panel building, incoming and pre-shipment inspection, harness building, soldering, testing, and packaging for shipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Create assemblies and kits from Bills of Materials

Read and follow assembly drawings, schematics and testing procedures

Inspect wiring assemblies, cables assemblies, and PCBs
-
Test products to ensure conformance to specifications and record test results
-
Solder electronic components using Lead Free soldering techniques
-
Assemble and test wiring harnesses
-
Perform simple mechanical tasks such as drilling, crimping, spooling and cutting

Use standard electronics test and measurement tools such as mustimeters and oscilloscopes

Inspect, test, and make simple repairs to defective electronics

Label products per specifications

Collect and verify orders from packing list

Pack products for shipment

Work in both a group setting and independently

Plan and execute tasks according to daily work and job requirements

Maintain a clean safe workspace

Able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Complete other tasks as assigned
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS/REPORTING: Reports to the Electronics Product Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Prior electrical assembly experience

Soldering experience a plus

Functional knowledge of standard PC programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and web browsers.

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Must be able to operate computer and other office and warehouse machines as the job requires.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting, bending, and reaching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires manual agility sufficient to operate standard office machines and warehouse machines as the job requires. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
MENTAL DEMANDS: Must handle diverse work problems on a daily basis. Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure. Must relate and interact with people at all levels in the Company.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Works in a typical office/warehouse setting. This position may require to work overtime on an as needed basis.
