Category Leadership:
The Demand Xcelerator (DX) team represents a transformation of Shopper Insights, Shopper Marketing, Category Leadership and Space resources supporting Sales and Marketing plans across the PepsiCo portfolio. This approach allows us to build best-in-class capabilities, develop deep functional expertise, and offer focused programs to drive growth with our customers.
Great opportunity to join the PepsiCo Demand Xcelerator Category Leadership Team sales team, providing strategic thought leadership, category analysis and action plans for the Target account. This position supports a diverse portfolio of Carbonated and Non-Carbonated brands, and includes leading the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that will deliver mutual success for PepsiCo and the retailer.

As the Senior Category Manager, Target Beverages you will be asked to:

Manage, coach and develop three Beverage category managers and analysts on the Target business
Proactively identify and lead category management initiatives that span the PepsiCo Beverage portfolio with Target, driving category growth while increasing PepsiCo's sales and profits
Build and maintain long-term relationships with Target's buyers through objective insight development and presentation
Oversee the annual transition process for each of the Beverage categories we captain, ensuring strategic plans for optimal assortment for our categories
Support PepsiCo's Target Beverage Sales Team to develop plans that help attain Target/PepsiCo's annual objectives and goals through analytics and insights
Drive category insights around Target's Discovery, Big Bets and Growth Summit meetings
Lead and partner on larger strategic projects to drive profitable growth at Target across the total portfolio (Beverages, FLNA and North American Nutrition)
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree, MBA a plus
5-7 years work experience in the CPG industry
Strong knowledge of syndicated data via IRI/Nielsen
Understanding of consumer data via Syndicated Panel, Disaggregated Panel, Shopper Insights, etc.
Demonstrated experience using Customer POS Data (i.e. MerchIQ)
Understanding of space planning tools (i.e. JDA/Apollo, RichMix)
Strong leadership skills; ability to direct activities of team members toward goals
Excellent communication skills
Customer relationship experience
Strong organizational skills; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Intellectual curiosity
Ability to effectively work independently as well as collaboratively across multiple functions is necessary
Target experience preferred
Prior People Management Experience Preferred
Must be willing and able to travel 10% of the time
Relocation Eligible: Eligible for Limited Relocation
