We are seeking a Production Engineer. This position responds to Production incidents as well as conducts proactive analysis on production environment performance. Creats and follow formal processes related to Production systems and common issues reported by internal or external parties. Manage Ticket life-cycles for incidents and partners service request. Creates regular reports. Educate internal and external staff (including third party NOC) on formal processes related to Production. Work closely with R&D/IT staff to troubleshoot issues as well as create documentation related to such issues. Works closely with the internal IT department to formalize processes and implement solutions related to Production environments.

Technical Requirements:

  • Must have experience with application support, support tools and processes. Tier 2 level experience is a plus.
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting platforms (Experience with Splunk and PRTG a plus)
  • Must have an understanding of network and internet technology concepts, including web server technologies (especially Microsoft IIS), database technologies (Microsoft SQL), Microsoft environments and Data center operations.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Support oriented and customer focused
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Insurance enterprise experience a plus
  • Strong desire to ensure task are proactively followed up and completed in a timely manner
  • Able to work independently, yet as part of a Production support global team
  • Able to work outside of regular business hours; on call duty might apply
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Proactive in presenting solutions that align with the company’s strategy
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Sharp and tenacious troubleshooting skills, ability to fix any problems
  • A burning desire to “Move Fast and Be Bold”

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS

  • The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000/year plus bonus based on experience
