Since 2007 our team has worked to create a scalable framework that provides our clients with compliant access to relevant signals within the massive amount of open source data that exists today. We're building a future where open source data can be identified, collected and leveraged to serve our clients’ AI needs.
We are looking for a motivated, organized, proactive person with strong interpersonal skills to join our growing company in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. The HR Manager has responsibility for driving key HR strategies, initiatives and processes, performance management, providing benefits administration and ensuring effective communication of benefit plans to staff. Directs the evaluation of benefit programs and makes recommendations for changes and updates as needed. Additionally responsible for processing of bimonthly payroll.
Ensure that all HR policies and programs are compliant with regulatory requirements
Continually strive to improve all HR processes and controls
Benefits administration & support including Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, STD/LTD
Work with Controller on annual open enrollment activities, answer employee questions and provide support of benefits and/or enrollment
Coordinate with benefits and insurance brokers when necessary
Management of company Affirmative Action program and OFCCP reporting
Support company risk management program
Assist with employee file management, oversee maintenance of employee records to ensure their security, confidentiality and compliance
Coach and partner with people at all levels of the organization and support them in realizing their maximum potential, as well as providing guidance on performance management/leadership
Assist with on-boarding of new employees when needed
Process bi-monthly payroll for all employees by entering payroll data into payroll system to include; bonuses, commissions, 401(k) updates, etc.
Process payroll changes during the month to include: new hires, terminations, wage changes, 401(k)changes, etc.
Monitor and track multiple State Tax Reports, filing requirements, and notices from States
Process year-end Form 1099s
Prepares journal entries and reconciliations related to payroll, bonuses, commissions, 401(k), and other compensation arrangements.
Ensures compliance with federal, state and local payroll, wage and hour laws and best practices.

Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent experience/certifications
Minimum 5 years HR Management
3-5 years of benefits administration
2 years of payroll experience
Exceptional verbal and written communication and partnering skills
Experience in a rapid and complex changing work environment
NetSuite and Paylocity experience preferred
Detail-oriented and capable of working independently with excellent multi-tasking abilities
Someone who can thrive in a startup environment
Professional certifications (i.e. PHR, SPHR) preferred
Must be able to obtain/maintain US DoD Secret Clearance/US Citizen
