General Responsibilities

The Shipping & Receiving Associate I is responsible for the receipt, packaging and shipment of products and materials for PTT distribution to customers and vendors. She/he is also responsible for incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments in accordance with PTT, FDA, AATB, and state rules and regulations.

Key Interactions & Relationships

Daily written and verbal communication with the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to ensure all duties are understood and completed in a timely manner and in accordance with PTT SOP?s and applicable standards.
Daily communication and information sharing with other Shipping and Receiving Associates regarding completion and progress of daily tasks.
Regular communication with and support of all PTT departments regarding shipping and receiving activities, and supplies disbursement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Comply with FDA, AATB, OSHA, cGTP?s and state rules and regulations at all times.
Works closely with both the Customer Service Representatives and other cross functional teams to ensure shipments are accurate and packaged in a timely manner according to customer needs and distribution schedule.
Responsible for checking in and verification of all incoming shipments against packing slips, invoices, orders, or other records.
Examines shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
Records shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
Prepares documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
Confers or corresponds with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter in accordance with industry standards.
Remains knowledgeable and keeps up with current software and industry standards related to shipping procedures for UPS, FedEx, and other couriers used by PTT.
Responsible for checking in and verifying the condition of all new donor tissue shipments including taking the temperature, verifying the accuracy of records and ensuring proper documentation is received, as well as placing full donor tissue in quarantine freezers in accordance with PTT procedures and applicable requirements.
Assists in the handling of tissue returns according to company SOPs and reports returns received to Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance in a timely manner.
Assists with the tracking and ordering of supplies and materials used during Production to ensure adequate inventory PAR levels are up to date, including Central Supply Room, to avoid disruption of distribution schedule.
Responsible for cleaning or work area that includes breaking down boxes, removing trash and general cleanliness of the warehouse area.
Complete all necessary safety and job specific training and re-training on an annual basis.
Other duties as assigned by Shipping & Receiving Supervisor and or PTT Leadership that may include restocking of supplies throughout the facility and light cleaning of shared areas of the facility.

Clerical ? Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Production and Processing ? Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Customer and Personal Service ? Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and the evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Problem Sensitivity and Problem Solving? The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong and taking action to prevent or solve the problem.
Time Management ? Maximizing the use of one's own time and the time of others.

Physical Environment & Working Conditions

Full Time position (40 hours or more) based in Arizona. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required to perform other tasks outlined in the job description.
Duties are such that there will be contact with human tissue and bone which may be considered infectious; use of PPE is required in all work areas.
Work requires bending, reaching, climbing ladders, and lifting containers weighing up to 80 pounds.
Equipment & Machines Used

Desktop computer and general office equipment.
Ladders, step tools, pallet jacks, hand trucks and other related equipment.

The Shipping & Receiving Associate I is expected to maintain confidentiality of all donor/recipient information.

Education and Work Experience Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent required.
0-1 years of shipping and receiving experience required.
