Overview:
The OR Access Specialist is responsible for collection, organization and entry of information into the Dimensions/Epic scheduling application; for the purpose of scheduling surgeries, procedures performed in Novant Health Acute and Ambulatory facilities, and to include the scheduling of pre-anesthesia visits and telephone calls for each surgery/procedure. Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.

Experience: Prior scheduling experience in a healthcare setting, Basic Medical Terminology preferred.

Additional Skills (required): Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, experience and competency in customer relation skills in a professional environment. Ability to organize and prioritize work. Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and is self-directed. Good problem solving skills. Exemplary keyboarding skills and familiarity with personal computers. Basic knowledge of hospital performed surgeries and procedures.
