Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Database Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Chantilly, VA. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's FBI ITSSS STOR 159 program.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement new data management schema.
Plan and coordinate the development of data structures and access strategies in alignment with business and mission requirements.
Can run test queries.
Knowledge of and ability to monitor databases and to analyze and organize data and apply new technology designs and programs.
Will evaluate and provide recommendations on new database technologies and architectures.
Perform and maintain Extract Transform and Load (ETL) processes.
Analyze database requirements and determine information needs and elements, database relationships and attributes, proposed manipulation, data flow and storage requirements, and data output and reporting capabilities.
Formulates policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization. May develop stored procedures and/or triggers.
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline with3 years of relevant experience in database administration. An additional 4 years of experience in database management may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Proficiency in the Agile Serum methodology
Proficient in production implementation and has support experience with databases on Linux/Unix platforms.
Knowledgeable in database validation checks, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
Must have a current TS clearance and the ability to obtain SCI.
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Experienced with MySQL including replication services and configuration preferred .
