Software Development Project Manager who

GFSS is seeking an experienced Software Development and IT Project Manager. This person will be responsible for managing various software projects through the GFSS Agile development process. Responsibilities include ensuring all projects follow the approved project roadmaps, updating projects status, and resolving issues as they arise, and assign tasks to project teams. Additional responsibilities will include oversight of GFSS’ internal IT, servers, backups, SSL as well as performing QA on websites.

Competencies

  • Demonstrated experience in project management including, planning, scheduling, budgeting, issues and risk management and personnel management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, utilizes resources, identify and resolve problems, meet deadlines, and stay within budget.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing software development projects using Agile Methodology
  • Knowledge of FISMA compliance process
  • Possesses Business and IT strategy and server/domain management experience
  • Experience in government pre and post-award tracking system is highly desirable
  • Preferably possesses technical knowledge or has experience with multiple technologies including Oracle, Weblogic, JDeveloper, Redhat Linux, Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket(GIT)) and AWS

Responsibilities

  • Manage project plan with resources and communicate objectives to team members
  • Shepard software projects through the development process
  • Follow and update roadmaps, timelines, and manage progress
  • Address issues as they arise by routing them to the appropriate team member
  • Oversight of internal IT, servers, backups and SSL
  • QA of software and websites
  • Analyze, recommend and install technology solutions
  • Interface with clients
  • Provide status updates to senior management

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with active secret clearance or clearable
  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent in IT, software development or related field.
  • Five years of experience in project management
  • Experience working on government site prefer
  • PMP certification prefer

This is a full-time on-site position: no freelancers or telecommuters. This is also NOT an entry-level position: we are looking for someone with relevant real-world experience.
