Your Role

Our Austin office is currently seeking a Senior Interiors Project Architect to provide design support for completion/execution of design concepts, prepare schematics and design development drawings, resolves design issues, analyze design options and execute projects through construction administration. Must have prior experience working directly with contractors.

The individual will be working with the team to complete assignments timely and with great quality to meet our client expectations. Resolves technical/design issues to maintain progress and quality control. Communicates between project team and consultants. Assists in assuring the project meets building codes, budget, and meets all necessary deadlines in order to fully meet client expectations.

What You Will Do

Collaborates on interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, and design development.
Assists in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.
Provides project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications and material selections required for construction.
Implements one or more projects through the management of project teams.
Negotiates fees and contracts for projects.
Manages scheduling, budgets, staffing, project set-up with sub-consultants, vendors and contractors.
Tracks financial performance of project.
Assist in developing the strategy for producing the documents and identifies the sheets planned for each stage of the work. This includes defining how data will be organized into files and which elements will be incorporated into a Revit based set of construction documents.
Technical resolution and coordination for a defined portion of a project.
Monitors the design process from conceptual phase through construction administration, ensuring the design idea is consistent and well executed.
Assists in planning, making adaptations and modifications to complete the working drawings.
Responsible for communication verbally or in writing with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessary.
Ensures that construction detail documentation conforms to quality assurance, quality control and best practice standards.
Works collaboratively with the Project Leadership Team (i.e. Project Designer and Principal in Charge).
Your Qualifications

12+ years' experience, Workplace experience preferred.
Required Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp. Experience with 3ds Max and illustrator a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Architecture and/or in Interior Design required.
Registered Architect or Registered Interior Designer preferred.
Excellent written communication skills.
