This position supports Dental Select, a subsidiary of Ameritas Life Insurance Corp.,Dental Select administers group dental and vision insurance, as well as dental plans forindividual and families, covering over 470,000 members.
We are seeking an Art Director (aka Lead Graphic Designer). The Art Director creates andleads diverse projects in support of Dental Select's marketing and brand strategy initiatives.This role provides a wide range of work including printed and digital sales collateral, eventmaterials, advertisements, UI/UX design (website, app, portals), and other related materialsfor internal and external audiences. This is a hybrid roll, working both in-office (Utah) and remote.

What you do
- Understands marketing initiatives, strategic positioning, and target audience.
- Provides engaging creative solutions in collaboration with stakeholders that incorporate business strategy, brand vision, and collateral/deliverable/communications needs.
- Generates clear ideas and concepts in tandem with a copywriter.
- Produces sketches, storyboards, and roughs to visualize ideas.
- Presents ideas to team members and stakeholders.
- Takes work from concept to final execution within deadlines.
- Manages and delegates responsibilities to other designers, copywriters, and external resources while providing direction and mentorship.
- Helps create and maintain brand guidelines, design systems, and other assets.
- Remains service-oriented under high-stress situations.
- Stays on top of design trends and best practices.
What you bring
- Undergraduate degree in design, related field, or equivalent design experience required.
- 3-5 years of progressive professional experience, including (but not limited to) corporate/category strategy, graphic design, brand development, advertising design, visual design, and marketing communications.
- Demonstrated competency in learning quickly.
- Self-starter and results driven, with a passion for and ownership of their work.
- Strong organization skills with precise attention to detail.
- Ability to work within a team setting and support multiple team members, crossfunctional groups, projects, and objectives.
- Proficient in industry standard software: Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma.
- Digital portfolio showcasing relevant work.
- Illustration, video, and animation experience are a plus.
- Experience in insurance/healthcare and ecommerce is also a plus.
