The Interventional Radiology APP team at Emory Healthcare is rapidly expanding with new opportunities in Diagnostic Radiology. Primary worksite will be at Emory Decatur Hospital, with rotations at Emory Hillandale Hospital. The APP will work with diagnostic radiology to perform fluoroscopic procedures and perform the associated clinical work, such as consults, vetting, hospital rounding, and clinical work up.
In this role the ideal APP candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
This is a Weekday position with a rotating Weekend call schedule that will be shared across the team.

Salary range: $110,000 to $140,000 per year depending upon years of experience.

Description:
We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for our expanded Diagnostic Radiology team. This role will be primarily based at Emory Decatur Hospital with rotations at Emory Hillandale Hospital.
Nurse Practitioner candidates must be Acute Care certified (ACNP or AGACNP).

Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients.

Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records.

Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status and medical problems or potential problems.

Under the direction of a physician, performs physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures including lumbar puncture, myelogram, joint injections and aspiration. Gastrointestinal and genitourinary fluoroscopic directed procedures, and other specialized minor image-guided therapies.

Under the direction of a physician, performs inpatient and outpatient consultations, to complete a historical intake, perform physical examinations, direct a plan of care, provide education and informed consent, or offer follow up procedural care.
- On Call weekend responsibilities on a rotational basis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.

Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia.

Minimum of two years' of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties.
- Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association and Healthcare Provider certifications required. ACLS may be required in some areas.
