The Community Outreach Program Manager is responsible for Faith Health Initiative program management and administrative support and is accountable for performance against strategy/goals for the assigned area within Houston Methodist’s Community Development and Spiritual Care division. This externally-facing role manages relationships internally with hospital leadership and externally with congregational partners and selected nonprofit vendors. The Project Manager works independently to proactively identify problems and creative solutions to address requirements.
The Community Outreach Program Manager for the Faith Health Initiative is responsible for operationalizing the Faith Health Initiative within hospital operations and through activating resources through Community Benefits partners. This Program Manager will also maintain established relationships with congregational contacts once firmly engaged in the Faith Health program.

Coordinates the daily operations for activities related to the Faith Health Initiative with focus on maintenance of strategic partnerships between Houston Methodist and key stakeholders. (EF)
Works cross-departmentally to achieve innovative and actionable outcomes while individually fostering relationships among both internal and external stakeholders. (EF)
The Program Manager performs this function with in-depth operational partnerships with internal stakeholders throughout all functions of Houston Methodist. He or she partners with points of contact from established congregations to operationalize communications and processes for members of the Faith Health Initiative program. He or she is the sole point of contact for Community Benefits partners with regard to operationalizing Faith Health Initiative programming.
Leads communication with authority to individuals and groups in a manner that engages and helps them understand and retain information. (EF)
SERVICE - 25 %

Autonomously leads development and implementation of departmental plans, campaigns/activations, events and/or initiatives as they relate to congregational outreach programs; develops and manages recurring reports on program performance. (EF). a.The Program Manager fulfills the full scope of this responsibility, particularly with regard to strategic planning and monitoring recurring reports on program performance.
Consults, collaborates, and cooperates with colleagues, peers, managers, and other stakeholders to improve effectiveness and efficiency of programs. (EF)
Develops, maintains and promotes positive and professional relationships with internal staff, congregation representatives, and the general public. The Program Manager is the primary party to develop and maintain partnerships with vendors and/or contractors. (EF)
QUALITY/SAFETY - 20 %

The Program Manager-Community Partners is responsible for planning, organizing, and ensuring the success of the Faith Health Initiative program in the following ways:
Provides support in planning and organizing cross-functional unit and cross-entity activities and committees (EF)
Researches and analyzes various types of data and compiles high quality reports, proposals, presentations, and other documents for senior management and customers is required. Develops effective business cases and presents to leadership, clients and stakeholders in order to influence and facilitate strategic change (as appropriate). (EF)
Monitors and evaluates program outcomes and metrics and creates departmental reports. (EF)
FINANCE - 15 %

Identifies and implements processes and/or campaigns/programs to improve efficiency and reduce expenses that do not compromise quality or service. (EF)
Provides timely submission of invoices; tracks and adheres to budgetary objectives for assigned projects. (EF)
The Program Manager – Community Partners monitors the success of congregational outreach and/or engagement strategies and budget, and makes course corrections as necessary. The Program Manager – Congregations, partners on strategies with Foundation partners to improve attainment of strategic goals.(EF)
GROWTH/INNOVATION - 20 %

Serves as part of a cross-departmental team that creates and executes mission driven events. (EF)
Proactively and independently problem solves when challenges present themselves. (EF)
The Program Manager also helps to lead the development of outreach and communications strategies and plans, including assessing needs and opportunities and developing strategies and implementation plans relating to all external outreach, marketing, and communications within scope of role.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Communications, healthcare administration or related field required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

5-7 years experience related to business or healthcare administration or experience working in a nonprofit setting
