The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Consumer Credit Card, Retail Services, Consumer Deposits, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Marketing and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. This Product Manager will have responsibility for leading the strategic initiatives for Wells Fargo Consumer Rewards Credit Cards. These strategic initiatives aim to drive overall growth of Consumer Reward Cards organically. These strategic initiatives could be optimizing current revenue drivers or launching new product/service or offering current product/service to a new segment. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to develop partnerships among cross-functional teams within Wells Fargo and partners. An innate desire to lead cross-functional teams and a drive for segment growth are key requirements for this role. In addition, the Product Manager must proactively develop and foster collaborative working partnerships across the organization.
Specifically this leader will:
Serve as the “thought leader” (both internally and externally) surrounding the trends, issues and opportunities associated with credit card products. It is expected this leading edge thinking will lead to new revenue generation opportunities both through new product development as well as increased profitability within existing products.
Monitor the competitive landscape, and identify opportunity areas for Wells Fargo to investigate further. Develop these opportunity areas into actionable opportunity that enables growth of Wells Fargo’s Consumer Rewards Credit Cards.
Lead growth initiatives for a complex business. Build out strategies that are aligned with long range strategic plan linked to financial metrics.
Develop strategies to optimize revenue drivers that helps grow revenue for Consumer Rewards Credit cards within Wells Fargo’s risk appetite and in line with business priorities.
Analyze size of pie for each opportunity in order to prioritize them.
Partner with internal and external partners to execute prioritized opportunities and bring them to life. These partners include: CCS Marketing, Consumer Lending group, Rewards, Customer Experience, Operational and Credit Risk team, Finance, Human Resources (both Line and Group) Corporate Credit, Legal/Compliance, Community Banking, Visa, Amex etc.
Monitor the change vs. expectations and fine tune to achieve business objectives
Partner with network(s) to leverage the network’s capabilities and assets internally and for our customers.

10+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Product management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery or agile product owner
Other Desired Qualifications
5+ years of Consulting and/or product management and development experience in Payments or Consumer Lending Industry
A seasoned professional with experience in business management, Products and/or finance in the Credit Card Industry
Ability to influence and manage cross functional work streams in order to execute projects with quality and on-time
Proven track record of understanding of credit card P&L drivers (Interchange and Yield) is extremely important
Proven experience in establishing a large scale vision, developing the strategy to support the vision, gaining consensus across key functional leadership through effective communication and driving vision through to achievement of goals and objectives
Demonstrated ability to effectively drive and lead organizational change
Demonstrated ability to manage effectively in a matrixed organization, develop partnerships with many business and functional areas, provide insight into the economic climate and related market developments and identify trends which may present opportunities or reflect gaps in the business
Relationship building at senior levels and ability to drive decision making through a consensus building approach
Demonstrated aptitude to quickly comprehend key financial leverage points to develop opportunities to expand wallet share growth, and increase customer engagement
Analytic capabilities utilized to identify root cause issues/improvement opportunities, and designing approaches/programs/ products to address customer issues
Demonstrated customer centric orientation, both with external customers as well as internal company clients
Proven marketing, product development and strategic planning experience within a large organization is required
Four year bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
