We are hiring a Customer Experience and Analytics Manager for the Microsoft Reactors, our community space and outreach program in key markets around the world, which sits in the Microsoft Cloud + AI organization. Our global team is maniacal about making the world amazing for developers of all backgrounds. We're excited to support and contribute to open source platforms, Customer Experience, and processes. We’re spreading awareness of Azure and enabling developers to do what they love; write, code, and learn. And through the Microsoft Reactors, neighborhood campuses where people gather and exchange ideas and learning, developers and technical decision makers of all stripes are welcome.
The Reactor program is embarking on making our new strategy a reality – to drive developers and startups to our Reactors to attend first-party programming. From workshops to panel discussions to tech talks, we hope to engage the community in each of our locations to attend and continue to attend events and contribute to the vibrant tech community in their city.
The Customer Experience and Analytics Manager will drive the requirements and delivery of the Reactor website and all program analytics. Working with the demand generation manager, the Customer Experience and Analytics Manager will help drive the customer experience from awareness to event registration to attendance to retention. Each phase of the journey requires an understanding of levers and metrics, analysis and testing – to define and refine our initial strategy and hypotheses.
Work with UX and engineering to design, manage and implement website redesign to 1) drive awareness and understanding of Reactors, 2) convert landings to event registrations, and 3) drive continued engagement of attendees to attend other events; 4) track Reactor attendees through Azure ecosystem
Drive event registration strategy, evaluating current MSC/Certain against other options; understand and refine processes around event registration, platform metrics, and conversion, with an eye toward reporting and nurture implications
Refine back-end calendaring engine for scheduling Reactor events for each location
Use data, experiments and customer feedback to drive growth of the community
Report on customer acquisition funnel through trial and activation, repeat visits, and other relevant metrics for all marketing outreach and success
Work with Analytics teams to drive OKRs (Objective and Key Results) for program for senior management
Customer Focus: Gathers customer impressions of products and services and integrates this feedback into decision making. Seeks information about the underlying needs of customers.
Drive for Results: Develops and communicates realistic performance goals and standards. Builds plans that consider potential obstacles and immediate and long-term consequences.
Insights and Analysis: Analyzes customer and marketplace data to discover key findings that inform decisions. Performs analyses that drive a better internal understanding of the customer or partner experience. Uses sound analysis to apply marketing models that allow forecasting of return on investment (ROI), profitability, share, and/or profit margin.
6+ years of experience in product management, operations and analytics, preferably targeting the developer community
Solid communication skills - ability to be both a strong writer as well as a dynamic public speaker
Passion for helping developers connect people and communities through the cloud
A self-starter that can manage and prioritize initiatives that will make our developers and platform the most successful
The role is based in Redmond
