About the role
- This is a temporary position that involves traveling across the United States on a tour bus, visiting 21 states, with the journey beginning and ending in Wyoming. The role will focus on capturing and editing photos for the Blue Collar Tour, documenting key moments along the way.
What you'll do
- Gear Preparation and Familiarization: During the first week, ensure that all camera equipment, whether personal or provided, is ready for use. Learn and test the gear, especially if unfamiliar with it, and capture test shots to adjust exposure and develop custom presets for tour photos.
- Tour Photography: Capture 60-80 high-quality, candid photos daily during the tour, focusing on key moments such as student interactions, giveaways, welding competitions, and group photos. Adapt quickly to varying lighting conditions and adjust camera settings as necessary.
- Photo Editing and Delivery: Edit and deliver photos by 8:30 PM after each show, applying presets and adjusting exposure, highlights, and shadows. Ensure the faces of students and participants are well-lit and enhance the captured moments. Upload the final photos to Pixie Set and notify the social media team.
- Equipment Setup and Breakdown Assistance: Assist the team with setting up and breaking down media equipment, including cameras, TVs, and speakers, both before and after the show. Work alongside the crew to ensure smooth operations during load-in and load-out.
- Collaboration and Post-Show Debrief: Participate in post-show debriefs to review the event, discuss challenges, and propose improvements for future shows. Provide feedback on photography elements and work with the team to enhance overall tour performance.
