Services include inpatient crisis stabilization and outpatient mental health care, medication management, inpatient detox, outpatient and residential substance use/addiction treatment, targeted case management, integrated primary & behavioral health care, in-home and in-school counseling, prevention and outreach, and a model clubhouse/day program for adults.

Contracted through Kids Central, Inc., The Centers also provides protective supervision and case management services to children and their families regarding issues of abuse, neglect, abandonment, or exploitation. This position is a highly responsible position responsible for completing biopsychosocial evaluations for persons who are at risk of hurting themselves or others. Schedule will be Sunday - Wednesday from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
Assess Lethality of Clients
Triage clients according to severity of symptoms presented.
Recognize and document signs of possible distress.
Answer and advise callers calling in on Crisis Line - advise law enforcement to conduct a "Wellness Check" on callers threatening to hurt themselves or others.
Provide crisis intervention counseling as needed.
Determine and make referrals for most appropriate treatment.
Aid families in obtaining appropriate ex parte orders from the court.
Assess Lethality of clients and recognize signs of possible physical distress.
Complete assigned performance tools (enrollments and outcome measures) within required time frame.


Bachelor's degree in a human service field with 2 - 3 years experience in assessment of mentally ill clients and substance abuse clients required. Familiarity with F.S. 394 and 397.

The Centers, Inc. is a National Health Service Corps approved site with a Tier-1 level HPSA score. Certain licensed health care providers may earn up to 50k toward student loans in exchange for a two-year commitment at an NHSC-approved site through the NHSC Loan Repayment Program (NHSC LRP). Students pursuing primary care careers may be eligible for the Scholarship Program to cover tuition, fees, miscellaneous costs, and monthly stipend.
