Position Summary

The purpose of Kids Ministry at CCV is to come along side parents to help raise spiritual champions to love and serve Christ with their lives. The Kids Ministry is helping develop the next generation that will be the hands and feet of Jesus in their families, schools, and communities. The Coordinator will assist the ministry efforts of the Kids Team by providing excellence in the implementation, development, and execution of the Kids ministry services and department events on the Anthem campus.

Essential Job Functions
Weekend Services
Assist the Kids Ministry Lead to complete various tasks for the weekend services (birth – 6th grade)
Execute weekend responsibilities with excellence (speaking, support, etc.)
Communicate effectively with volunteers and staff involved
Build and maintain relationships with volunteers during services
Recruit: Assist in recruit and managing volunteers for the ministry team including small group leaders and greeters to support weekend services
Retain: Invest time into existing volunteers, supporting them, encouraging them, and helping them grow in their roles
Train: Support volunteer growth with regular communication and training
Take leadership in building life-changing relationships with children and their parents. Initiate relationships, especially with lost people
General Responsibilities
Work with team to program for special events
Help with team events requiring assistance
Participate in staff development opportunities
Participate in various activities that have all church implications

Must be – or willing to become – a participating member of CCV
Regularly attends worship services with their family
Is an active participant in a neighborhood group, a transformation group and is a regular tither

Education & Experience
Training in a related field or ministry proven experience.
Working knowledge of the business of the church and procedures is helpful
Skilled in using a database for volunteer information, recruiting, and attendance
