Senior individual contributor responsible for supporting the planning and execution of client-facing projects that directly assist strategic business development in assigned market or segment for the Wells Fargo Family & Business History Center. The Family & Business History Center is a part of the Abbot Downing Family Governance and Education Group that supports WIM and Wholesale business development and relationship building with ultra-high net worth clients and prospects across a national footprint. The position supports One Wells Fargo business development results for Abbot Downing, The Private Bank, WF Advisors, Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking and Investment Banking.

Will create and present family history deliverables and consultations independently or in consultation with a FBHC manager. Responsibilities include: independent maintenance of internal and external relationships with WIM and Wholesale relationship managers, UHNW families, COIs, businesses and community leaders; developing collaborative and innovative partnerships across the Family Governance and Education Group; conducting expert historical research in online databases, institutional archives and libraries, and special collections; writing and presenting historical narratives that synthesize complex material in a clear and insightful manner; creating various presentation deliverables, including hard-copy and/or digital archives. Will assist managers and leaders with business development strategies and deliverables, and represent the center at business development events, when necessary. Supports maintenance and development of confidential files, organizational procedures, and risk management policies. May manage clearinghouse of external contract researchers and managed resources.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of professional experience in one or a combination of the following: corporate historian, historical consultant or history professor

Desired Qualifications

A Master's degree or higher in history or history-related field
Significant experience working as part of a team or in a collaborative setting
Proven research skills in online databases, institutional archives, & special collections
Broad educational background in American, European, and World history, as well as social, economic, cultural, immigration, and family history
Knowledgeable about new and emerging historical resources, technologies, and digital humanities
Significant experience conducting independent archival research
Experience managing or organizing historical or archival materials preferred
Experience working with clients, businesses, Ultra High Net Worth families and/or senior leaders preferred
Skilled writer and speaker with ability to present clear, personalized, historical narratives (both written, oral, and digital)
Proven record of transforming archival research work into historical presentations and publications
Effective communicator and presenter, able to develop strong interpersonal relationships

Other Desired Qualifications
Proficiency in one or more foreign languages
