ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Product Manager, Finance Systems will be devising strategy, developing product requirements, and overseeing execution for many high impact initiatives. Every day, you’ll bring critical day-to-day leadership and thinking to the table, working with teams of engineers, aligning on cross-functional projects, ensuring they’re within reason and technically sound. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and business leaders alike, creating strategically sound systems. You will have a major say in the ‘how’ and foster a collaborative environment where everyone learns and grows. At the end of the day, your work will have a tremendous and positive impact.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Own and shape the roadmap for Varo’s corporate financial systems.
Design and deliver detailed finance requirements, including process workflows, accounting rules, data specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Partner with finance, operations, IT, engineering, and program management to deliver products that automate and scale Varo’s corporate financial systems.
Define the accounting, ledger, and reconciliations requirements in collaboration with Accountants and Finance Operations.
Identify and deliver Operating and Financial decision makers with data, analysis, metrics and tools.
Develop reports and dashboards that can automate or improve financial insights.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES THAT'LL HELP YOU BE GREAT
Experience in banking, payments, or accounting systems.
Understanding of basic accounting and financial reconciliation.
Experience in full life cycle product development including requirements, design, development, testing, and roll out.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to research issues, make evaluations on problems, and quickly execute solutions.
Comfortable with pulling and manipulating data using SQL.
5+ years of product management experience.
