Overview

The position supports NetSuite ERP engagements and prospective engagements. The candidate will serve as a subject matter expert to clients, prospects and partners to assist them in optimizing their use of NetSuite to successfully define, build and deploy. The Solution Architect is a highly-visible, client facing role. The candidate must be a seasoned architect who comes with extensive experience in application software architecture, and implementation of internet scale applications in fast-paced environments, using cloud computing technologies. The Solution Architect is responsible for defining the technologies required to support the business objectives of client projects. This includes identifying complementary vendors, determining make vs. buy options for functional gaps, defining integration strategies, understanding infrastructure requirements and leading teams in the delivery of solutions for clients in various industries.

In addition to working on billable client engagements, the Solution Architect will also assist as needed on pre-sales opportunities such as RFP responses, proposal delivery, architecture assessments and technical qualifications.

Required Skills

Experience designing overall NetSuite ERP solution including complementary vendors and integrations based on business requirements and impact on boundary systems

Facilitate design workshops with Client and Consulting team(s)

Lead application demonstration sessions, and evaluate fit of solution choices

Provide Client facing analysis and documentation for critical business decisions

Lead the translation of the client's business goals, objectives, and requirements into systems design

Liaison with NetSuite and complementary vendors for issues, package provisioning and performance concerns

Lead cross-functional, cross-technology solution design discussions

Review and/or develop functional design documents to ensure completeness and feasibility with the overall ERP solution

Review and/or develop functional specifications to ensure functional feasibility and alignment with the overall ERP solution

Facilitate communication between onshore and offshore teams to ensure configuration and development activities meet the solution requirements

Assist with application configuration choices and decisions

Design architecture for scalability, high-availability, performance, flexibility, operational efficiency, security and maintainability

Offer implementation options for new system features that enable strategic business capabilities

Use technology as a key competitive advantage by evaluating and implementing technical innovations

Define solution footprint for prospects, either as part of proposal response or on-site discovery or other working sessions

Work with project managers to ensure accurate scoping timely delivery of projects—estimate time frames, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully implement project; develop project plan incorporating all project variables including risk

Act as a mentor to Leads and Analysts

Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.

Qualifications

Project Managers take full responsibility for managing a project or program. They normally manage a number of related streams or activities to achieve a desired business result, planned profitability levels, quality standards and highest-level client satisfaction. Project Managers are responsible for the project plan, budget, structure, schedule and staffing requirements for the delivery organization. A Project Manager usually has technical expertise in one or more other domains (e.g. a Project Manager with testing skills could perform a test manager function).

Required Skills and Experience:
You are responsible for leading either a large project or a definable segment of a very large and complex project. Clients may be external or internal. You are responsible for the translation of the client's complex business requirements into formal agreements. For these, you establish specific solutions, applications or processes which ultimately culminate in customer acceptance of the results. This includes working with client team members and executives to identify business requirements and subsequently working with, and leading others, in the initiating, planning, controlling, executing and closing the client's solution. You are responsible for a wide range of process activities beginning with the request for proposal through development, and final delivery.

  • Qualification: 12+ years, Bachelor's Degree
  • Certification: Manages engagements with complexity on EM level 1 or higher. Is, if possible, certified on this level.
  • Should be experienced in Negotiation, Vendor Management, Risk Management, Project Financials, KPI & Reporting
  • Should have progression skills in Quality Management
