Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and lead integrative design meetings to ensure all parties involved are aware of code or above code requirements
  • Manage a team of 15 Energy Analysts/Modelers
  • Manage the RESNET QAD Process of file and filed
  • Prepare projected and confirmed energy models per Energy Star Multi-Family High Rise Requirements
  • Verify HVAC and hot water equipment sizing, insulation measures, and efficiency compliance
  • Review building plans and specifications to ensure all claimed and mandatory practices are incorporated into the design
  • Perform on-site audits as needed, prepare energy models, and review results with the project team
  • Review the cost and benefit of installing green features including high efficiency mechanical equipment

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 2 – 4 years of experience with construction, energy efficiency building codes, and building science
  • Experience with energy modeling software such as REMrate is highly desirable
  • HERS Rater, LEED Green Rater, and NGBS Verifier Certification highly desirable
  • Knowledge of Residential and Commercial IECC Requirements
  • Familiarity with building science concepts such as thermal enclosure, building envelope leakage testing, and duct leakage testing
  • Expert ability to effectively communicate with other disciplines or groups and resolve conflicts
  • Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills
  • Excellent reporting skills, attention to detail, deadline-oriented, and time management skills
  • Must have strong software experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Sharepoint

Education:

  • B.S. in Energy, Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Science, or related field
