Hartley & Parker is one of Connecticut’s most respected and well established distributors of wine and spirits. We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support daily administrative functions and as well as implementation of short and mid-term projects.

Computer literacy is a must and experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is essential. The successful candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience. Must be detailed oriented and possess strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment. He/she must also be proficient in report processing as well as calculating percentages. An Excel and/or PowerPoint test may be given during the interview process.

Primary duties will fluctuate based on workload but will include:

  • Preparation and maintenance of various reports through Inventiv Software
  • Maintain product registration and compliance records
  • Provide Management support such as reviewing calendars, setting meeting reminders, answer phone, filing, etc.
  • Schedule travel arrangements when necessary
  • Various spreadsheet analyses
  • Prepare Power Point presentations for meetings
  • Using the Inventiv system to process sample requests for suppliers and sales reps
  • Track and report sample placements
  • Backup Customer Service/Order Entry
  • Backup receptionist
  • Special projects and assignments as needed
