We are seeking an experienced and passionate Home Depot merchandising leader who will be responsible for two key areas of responsibility:
Merchandising Manager - responsible for leading and developing a passionate team of Sales Merchandisers to achieve account goals.
Data analysis - responsible for the extrapolation and analysis of Home Depot data in order to identify and provide opportunities/insights for improvements in merchandising execution/planning, distribution gap remediation, account growth, sell through programs, etc. Effectively communicate qualitative and quantitative data and insight with the National Account Manager (NAM) and Sales Merchandising team.
What You’ll Be Doing
Coach, train and lead Retail Sales Merchandisers in:
optimization of on- and off-shelf merchandising
retailer specific operations and store nuances
sales presentation and negotiation
overcoming store operational and execution challenges
translation of data insights and trends to action or influence change to achieve desired goals
influencing desired change or program execution with store associates/managers and other merchandising resources (EG: MET team)
store systems and operations
Collaborate with Sales Merchandising Manager to formulate merchandising programs and project recommendations. Present EBITDA advantageous merchandising programs/plans to NAM and Director with supporting data, applicable insights and P&L analysis.
Lead off-shelf, two-step selling of displays to Field Divisional Merchandising Manager (FDMMs) and the Regional Merchandising Managers (RMMs) at least annually.
Accountable for setting up display activity at customer’s model/display store (e.g.: IC Center).
Communicate regularly with third party representatives to reinforce company values and direction.
Partner with Sales Merchandisers to continually improve store and regional performance by securing incremental off-shelf, secondary displays, promotions, etc.
Contributes to quarterly and annual forecasting
Principle data analyst responsible for the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data for assigned national accounts with the goal of identifying and maximizing sales opportunities and minimizing identified competitive threats.
Communicate data insights and recommendations to improve performance or execution to achieve defined goals and customer satisfaction.
Participate in head office calls to provide explanation of data, detailed store level insights, and program recommendations in concert with the National Account Manager. Assist in key account negotiations as it pertains to retail sales plan-o-grams utilizing category leadership strategies/data achieve goals.
Creates, monitors and maintains key account and merchandising metrics dashboards in support of company sales, profits and distribution goals.
Provide relevant data insights to other Merchandising Manager(s) and direct reports with the goal of remediating out of stock, incremental, distribution opportunities, etc.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
8-10 years of CPG retail sales & merchandising experience executing against plan-o-grams, promotional activity and marketing plans.
2 to 3 years leading remote sales merchandisers
Analyzing CPG data, purchasing and inventory patters to extrapolate meaningful insights and conceptual program recommendations
Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiating skills in a direct or indirect sales capacity.
Successful tactical execution.
Familiarity merchandising/selling across multiple trade channels, key accounts, product lines, distribution channels, marketing program lead times, within consumer packaged goods.
Proven ability to influence across the organization
Education Completed: Bachelor Degree in business or relevant field. MBA, highly desirable
Driver’s License: Current and valid driver’s license is required
Domestic travel up to 35%-40% ±
