This position is in support of the Military Commissions Defense Organization (MCDO), which is responsible for providing defense legal services to detainees being tried in military commissions.
Incumbent is assigned to the MCDO, Information Technology (IT) Section. Requires routine and recurring access to Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) information, materials, equipment, and facilities. Requires access to Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS).

Executes the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Security Control Assessor (SCA) mission as defined at the MCDO, Office of the Military Commissions (OMC), and Department of Defense (DOD) guidance.
Supports procedures and processes within the command to document the status of IT capability assessment and/or authorization.
Conducts announced and unannounced cybersecurity assessments within the MCDO.

You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability to: (1) applyadvanced information systems security concepts and methods, multiple IT disciplines, Enterprise IT architecture, and project management principles and methods sufficient to review, interpret and evaluate Risk Management Framework (RMF) policy. (2) knowledge of cybersecurity specifics in operational data communications, networking, database management, security, and the concepts and principles of hardware and software operations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
