Summary:
This position will coordinate with IT teams and Software Engineers to establish, maintain, and improve application lifecycle infrastructure and processes. The position will carry the primary responsibility of establishing and promoting the adoption of a long term DevOps strategy. The candidate must demonstrate prior experience with automation, deployment and maintenance of fault-tolerant, highly-available, scalable systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage our continuous integration, deployment, and test strategy to maximize efficiency for multiple applications.

Build and deployment automation, analysis, orchestration, and monitoring solutions.

Support and maintain application infrastructure (servers, network topology, and authentication) for supported applications.

Provide Segregation of Duties support – Control server access and accounts, as well as assist with audit controls and reports.

Stay abreast of related technology and recommend strategies, technologies, and tools.

Sharing knowledge with other team members assisting in their growth and development.

Providing timely updates of existing workload for communication to manager and customer.

Maintaining adherence to all SOX procedures and mandated regulations.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

Bachelor’s degree, Computer Science, MS in Engineering, or equivalent.

8 years of related work experience with a record of increasing responsibilities for the Lead level.

Experience working with one or more of the following scripting languages

Development and support experience working with the following technologies (1 or more in each category):
- Continuous Integration tools: Jenkins, Bamboo, VSTS

Infrastructure Automation: Ansible, Puppet, Chef
-
Containers: Docker
-
Orchestration: Kubernetes, Swarm

Build System Tools: Maven, Gradle, Ant
- Scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Groovy, PowerShell

Source Control: Git, SVN, BitBucket, VSTS

Some Microsoft T-SQL or PL/SQL ad-hoc query capabilities

Strong interpersonal and team skills including the ability to positively interface with vendors and contractors, IT, user management, and peers.

Good organization skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently while achieving deadlines and effectively communicating project status.

Be a proactive, solution-oriented self-starter with the ability to quickly assemble the big picture.

Effective oral and written communication skills, including strong technical communications skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including crisis management and resolution.
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience

The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience

The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience
Preferred Qualifications:

DevOps certification a plus

ITIL certification or experience a plus

Cloud platform experience – AWS, Microsoft Azure

Java knowledge/experience
Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Usually, normal office working conditions.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
