Shipping/Warehouse Lead

A successful candidate for this role would have excellent oral and written communication, general knowledge of operating a warehouse and planning and organizational skills

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Focus on facility and employee safety and compliance.
Enter receipts into SAP for all service, parts, and supplies.
Manage, inventory and request order of all non BOM supplies (i.e. ink, tape, glue…)
Provide Lift Truck (re)Certification for the site.
Manage storage space (non-asset) for warehouse.
Order and manage daily vital needs between Distribution Center and main plant.
Exchange information regularly with managers, team leaders and employees.
Understand, develop, apply, and coach employees on our culture of Market Based Management®.
Work with Distribution Center shipping to help coordinate Direct Shipping of finished goods.
Operate mobile equipment to unload, transport and stack units and move materials.
Participate and engage in all scheduled safety training events while promoting facility safety efforts.
Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment by adhering to all plant safety guidelines, policies and procedures.

What You Will Need:Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functions
Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
Willing and able to push and pull up to 100 lbs.
Willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely
Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day
Willing and able to work around dust, oil, grease, chemicals and other substances
At least one (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing environment

What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:
Lift Truck Certified
Experience with SAP
Inventory experience
Experience in shipping and receiving and knowledge of all warehouse roles
Understanding of 5S – lean manufacturing
