We currently have a high profile client with homes in Lower Manhattan and the Hamptons.
The family is looking for two nannies to join their team of nannies. One is a live-in position and one is a live-out position. Details for both jobs are below.
First Nanny Position (Live-In $100-130k)
This position would be rotating 7 days on and 7 days off that you would split between another full-time nanny. During the 7 days on, you would live-in but share the job with another day-time nanny that will help split the responsibilities. The kids are 2 toddlers and 1 baby. So the family has 4 nannies in all that rotate.
During the 7 days off, you would be able to go home. However, during COVID, the family is in the Hamptons full-time and has a separate house for the nannies during your days off so you can self-isolate to help protect the family. When COVID passes, the family will return to Manhattan and you’ll be able to go home during your days off.
Even though you will be rotating 7 days on and 7 days off, the family expects this will be your full-time job and you’ll be able to recharge during your 7 days off. The family is paying at the top of the nanny pay scale. They are wanting to start someone off at 100K and grow them to 130K over a 4 year period. The compensation also includes full benefits (health, dental, etc.) They would like someone to commit to at least 5 years.
Live-Out Position ($80-$85k)
This position would be Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday (with potentially the addition of either Thursday or Monday). The hours would be 7am to 7pm. During the summer, this is a live-in position and you would stay at the nanny house in the Hamptons during your days off. During the school year, it’s a live-out position in Manhattan.
Similar to the live-in nannies, you would be sharing the job with another nanny who is on the clock and you’ll be working as a team. Once COVID is over, you would need to be able to travel with the family domestically and internationally on occasion. This position pays around 80K to 85K. The compensation also includes full benefits (health, dental, etc.) They would like someone in this role to commit for at least a few years.
For both of these roles, the family is looking for someone who has a college degree (at least a bachelor’s degree) and has several years of nannying experience with babies and toddlers under their belt. However, they would like someone who is energetic, fun and personable. The staff get along really well and are treated very well by the family, so they are looking for someone to fit in and be a great team player.
