Full Job Description
ECS is seeking an Infrustructure and Platform Automation Subject Matter Expert to work in our Washington, DC office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.
Independently applies a wide set of engineering disciplines for planning, design, analysis, coding, testing, roll-out and support of information systems architectures.
Interact closely with key project stakeholders to design, plan and implement sustainable solutions.
Work closely with the technical team to deliver what was designed.
Problem solving challenges as they arise, and the flexibility to evolve designs as new requirements and discoveries are made.
Design and architect with security in mind, at the configuration, network, and software levels.
Maintain multiple perspectives as a member of the project team who actively works alongside the engineering team, understands stakeholder needs, reviews technical teamwork, and mentors downstream users to take full advantage of innovation built in the environment.
Must successfully complete a stringent Background Investigation.
A minimum of 10 years of related experience including a broad background in various technology solutions, including:
Service Oriented Architecture
Open Source Solutions
Demonstrates a deep working knowledge of IT operations, Enterprise Applications, Storage, Business Solutions, hardware, software, Disaster Recovery, Enterprise Architecture, Networking, Security, System Management, Data migration and Virtualization.
Demonstrates expertise in enterprise solution design, SOA models and approaches to enterprise cloud solutions, and promotion of architecture principles along with conducting research in specific technology areas and being up to date with the latest of industry trends on application architectures.
Expert in the existing cloud computing technology: public, private, and hybrid, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
Ability to work on client sites as needed (DC Metro Area)
Demonstrates very good written and oral presentation skills and outstanding client-interaction skills.
Thinks creatively and demonstrates the ability to work independently on a complex task with little direction, supervision, and management oversight. The candidate should be highly motivated, a self-starter, and able to work alone or in groups.
