Research Scientist I

This Research Scientist will contribute to generating and assessing the function of new anti-cancer immunotherapeutics. Working in a small biotech lab, this scientist will have an opportunity to learn multiple assay systems and experience all aspects of preclinical development from generation of a protein or cell-based therapeutic to proof of concept studies in animal cancer models. The scientist will be encouraged to attend relevant conferences and to publish his/her work.

This position requires that the candidate:

  • Apply molecular biologic techniques to generating new recombinant protein and cell-based therapeutics.
  • Apply tissue culture and cell biology techniques to determine activity of leads
  • Preferentially possess experience performing cell-based immunoassays such as tumor cell cytotoxicity assays
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and multitasking skills and diligently generate electronic records of all work
  • Is very capable of presenting work at group meetings
  • Is a positive proactive contributor to group efforts

Qualifications includes:

MS or PhD in area related to immunology and molecular biology. Candidate with MS would have1 year or more of academic or biotech lab experience

Preferred skills include DNA and RNA techniques, tissue culture, cell-based immunoassays, & flow cytometry.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year
