Performs detailed business related data analysis and data mining. Initiates and is responsible for identifying risk-based data analytics. Interprets data and analyzes results using statistical techniques; provides ongoing reports based on business requests and anticipates future business data needs. Serves as organizational point of contact for data, report, metric requests. Acquires, analyzes and reports data from multiple EMS data sources; has ability to understand data base fields, how to interpret them and pull together to meet and translate business requests into information. Maintains database integrity, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Provides expert business analytics including leveraging large datasets and statistical analytics to identify trends and risk rates accordingly. Works through roadblocks of obtaining required data and recommends creative short-term and long-term strategies. Communicates at both a detailed and executive level effectively. Leverages data quality framework to ensure data is cleansed if required prior to analysis. Defines and documents requirements and translates to a detailed auditing and monitoring compliance plan. Conducts research and analysis, benchmarking, and designs auditing and monitoring plans to ensure reasonableness and accuracy. Leads and facilitates multi-disciplinary workgroups or projects. Provides business consultative services at a local, regional, and organizational level. Understands and considers both the business and the technical needs of all customers with the goal of providing a quality product or process that meets the business objectives. Identifies trends in data that could improve business processes in addition to monitoring for compliance with organizational, legal and regulatory expectations.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, statistics, or healthcare business related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in data or business analysis; OR Master's Degree and 3 years of experience.
Understands the EMS industry specific environment and practices. Strong knowledge of data analytic tools such as, Business Objects, SQL Script, Excel, Tableau or similar data analytic tools. Ability to develop analytics framework and train colleagues on key concepts. Ability to quickly understand EMS data measures, scorecard concepts, EMS industry processes, and understand how those processes will impact consistency of data, and consider in analysis to reduce false positives. Demonstrates system and analytical thinking capability. Demonstrates advanced communication and presentation skills; maintains effective correspondence. Possesses expert investigational skills, shows attention to detail, accuracy and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to operate independently with a high level of productivity. Able to lead others through difficult situations.
License or certification
Business Analyst includes: CBAP Certified Business Analysis Professional, CCBA Certification of Competency in Business Analysis, ECBA Entry Certificate in Business Analysis, or PMI-PBA Professional in Business Analysis preferred.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $2832.80, based on a full-time position.
