This role requires an exceptional storyteller to build and curate digital content designed to grow brand awareness, engagement, and drive forward the MADD mission. This role combines the strategic thinking of a content strategist, the working knowledge of social media content best practices, and the editorial capabilities of a video editor.
This is a remote, work from home position that will require 40% travel.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create content that aligns with the organization’s branding and messaging across multiple platforms. This includes but is not limited to blog posts, social media updates, web content, videos, infographics and other digital assets.
- Create and edit unique content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to guidelines.
- Research industry trends and audience preferences to create relevant and timely content.
- In collaboration with our Social Media Manager, develop, manage and deliver against a content calendar aligned with MADD’s annual initiatives to support our mission and fundraising efforts.
- Monitor content performance and adjust strategies to optimize engagement and reach.
- Ability to create and manage published content including imagery, video, written and audio.
- Optimize content for SEO to increase organic traffic and improve search engine rankings.
- Website Improvements: Collaborate with web developers to enhance the user experience and functionality of our website.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 5-7 years proven experience in marketing, design and/or content creation.
- Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, time-management and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of brand management and marketing strategies.
- Proficiency in content development for social media platforms, content management systems, and SEO best practices.
- Experience with creative tools to create visual content, including Photoshop, Illustrator and similar design tools.
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to take direction and work collaboratively across the entire organization among stakeholders from C-suite, senior leadership, peers and regional delivery teams.
- Adaptable, detail-oriented, creative, deadline-driven, team player who wants to be part of a mission-driven marketing team.
- Willingness to travel regionally and nationally up to 40%.
