Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, or individuals in need of assistance with daily activities
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met
- Engage individuals in meaningful activities and promote social interaction
- Provide transportation to appointments, outings, and community activities
- Monitor and document individual progress and report any concerns or changes in behavior
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals under your care
Requirements:
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, seniors, or individuals requiring direct support is preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR is a plus
- Ability to handle challenging behaviors with empathy and professionalism
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
