As a Vice President and Digital Architect Lead, you will be responsible for the design of complex, multi-system environments taking into account production, testing and development environments. The role requires expertise in designing solutions that integrate hardware, operating systems, software solutions and connectivity into a target solution. The role requires critical review and analysis of business requirements for both internal and external clients. You will provide expert knowledge of technical architecture and serve as Subject Matter Expert to Senior Technology managers, Business, Operations and Technology teams. You will provide direction and guidance directly to sponsors, business analysts, developers, production support, and customer support specialists.
You should have a background in designing solutions for one or more capabilities including customer self-service and/or customer-assisted experiences, transaction capture and fulfillment processing, authentication / authorization risk models, credit risk models, and business-to-business and/or business-to-customer/customer-to-business interaction models. Additional fluency with integration of packaged solutions in the capability will be invaluable experience.

You will develop, maintain and improve the technical reference architecture and domain definitions for the capability. You will identify and communicate risks associated with component or application implementation. You will support and guide the development teams during the analysis, development and testing processes. You will support the teams to sequence application component releases.
Your technology solutions will be key designs and direction that you provide to the domains and the delivery teams. You will develop and drive the technical direction for domain. You will be expert in and leverage one or more common solution patterns some of which are:
Caching (Gemfire, memcache, etc.)
Cloud (AWS, Azure, internal / external, etc.)
Data protection, replication, reconciliation, and distribution
Data eventual consistency
Device technologies and mobile applications (native and hybrid)

You will prepare technical architecture deliverables in accordance with Commercial and Consumer Banking Architecture standards and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals at all levels.

You will work closely with other architects, developers and leads, customer experience, operations support and business leads. Your ability to collaborate and reach consensus will be a significant and required asset. The position will also require you to identify issues in a collaborative environment and drive those issues to closure. You will be challenged to understand the real business needs and balance the business needs with existing technical constraints and operational impacts in order to develop implemental solutions. You will be able to provide constructive feedback on the technical solutions and, where necessary, the performance of your colleagues.
You will work directly with senior business and technology leaders within the Digital organization as well as across the larger JPMC organization. The role is multi-dimensional in the number and tenor of the professional relationships that you will need to develop across the team with these leaders. This is a key dimension of the role and your ability to lead and influence the organization.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes
Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Minimum 10 years in Information Technology Software Development and Delivery
Minimum 5 years as Technical Architect with proven record of driving adoption of solutions and platforms into production
Ability to work independently across multiple initiatives simultaneously
Ability to work with multiple design and delivery partners including vendors
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools including experience with agile delivery
Minimum 5 years using architecture methodologies, standards and tools (TOGAF, domain driven design, UML, etc.)
