The On Premise Manager for South Texas is a key position in focusing and developing the on-premise market for Four Roses Distillery. This position is based in Houston, TX and applicants must already reside in Houston, TX.This position leads with an exciting and hands on approach in initiating programs and training with target accounts within the region. The On Premise Manager is responsible for building relationships and brand equity, awareness and growth of our products with key accounts to achieve sales goals.The On Premise Manager acts as the daily brand ambassador with key accounts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Major Responsibilities

The On Premise Manager is responsible for target account management, brand building and distributor coordination. The primary responsibility will be in the Focus Market within the assigned region. The Secondary Markets will receive the secondary focus.

  • Champion all Regional events within each Focus & Secondary Event within Region.
  • Develop, implement and maintain a sales plan to execute and achieve daily,weekly and monthly sales targets within designated territory thru excellent execution.
  • Maximize market share in geographical territory in accounts to achieve revenue,profit and growth targets.
  • Ensure volume, distribution, promotion, merchandising, training and public relations activities are effectively implemented and executed.
  • Track and analyze volume, distribution performance and the competitive landscape to develop strategies to achieve and overcome sales challenges.
  • May execute in store tastings or on premise tastings which may involve evening and weekend work
  • Develop and maintain solid business relationships with all key customer decision makers in assigned territory as well as open any new accounts.
  • Build brand awareness and ensure strong sell-through/depletions of portfolio both through various promotional programs as well as introduce new products and promotions to all accounts.
  • Provide customer service and handle customer complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Advise management of any sales issues or opportunities in assigned territory
  • Communicate all relevant business opportunities and competitive information on a regular and timely basis.
  • Plan and administer budgets, develop business case proposals and operate territory within approved expense budget.
  • Assist Corporate Office with execution of all National Events within Region.
  • Follow-up on all National Account executions within region.
  • Manage & maintain approximately 50 Target On-Premise Accounts per Focus
  • Market (accounts to be identified by RSM and Sales and Marketing Director)
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Distributor on-premise sales division: Maintain regular ride-with schedule with distributor sales managers and sales meeting participation
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all Target Accounts, within Region, acting as Four Roses Brand Ambassadors in the development and execution of:
  • Back-bar distribution
  • Drink List Programs
  • Menu Programs
  • Well Programs
  • Bourbon Dinners
  • Wait Staff Trainings
  • Develop and oversee creation of on-premise P.O.S., ensuring Four Roses specifications are met

Minor Responsibilities

  • Manage & maintain approximately 25 Target Retail Accounts per Focus Market (accounts to be identified by RSM and Sales Director)
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Distributor Retail sales division: Maintain frequent ride-with schedule with distributor sales managers, and sales meeting participation.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all Target Accounts, within Region, acting as Four Roses Brand Ambassadors in the development and execution of:
  • Physical and Effective Distribution
  • Display Opportunities
  • Four Roses Portfolio pricing vs. Competitive Set
  • Respond to any of complaints within the territory.

Education and Experience – Required

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related degree
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in spirit sales
  • Computer and software proficiency including strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Other job related experience
  • Preferred but not required Two years’ experience in on-premise focus

JOB RELATED INFORMATION

Supervisory Responsibility

The On-Premise Manger – South Texas will not have any direct reports other than vendors and accounts.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job in the office, will work primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use; frequent stressful conditions (cardiovascular). Could be exposed to infrequent fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration as could be expected in any OSHA compliant operation and may be occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions in the distillery/warehouse/bottling environment. May be exposed to external weather conditions during outside events.

Travel

Travel will be required to Four Roses Events, distributors, and key accounts within the territory. Travel could be required to other territories, sites, cities, or countries as necessary. Travel flexibility is required in and outside the normal territory.
