The Chemical Dependency Professional /Mental Health Professional completes CD evaluations, conducts recovery oriented group therapy, supervises CDPTs, and provides training to CTs on the proper administration of a CD evaluation. Utilizes evidence based practice in assisting patients achieve their optimal level of mental and emotional health with a focus on chemical dependency issues.


Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or clinical related mental health field and CDP Certification. Master’s preferred.


  • Minimum of one years’ experience working as a Chemical Dependency Professional in a DBHR certified agency.
  • Direct clinical experience in the treatment of chemically dependent patients.
  • Minimum of one-year experience in an inpatient or residential setting.
  • Skills and experience in community relations and group presentation.
  • Prior experience in dealing effectively with courts, probation departments, and other agencies and referral sources.
  • Ability to supervise other CDPs and CDPTs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Mental Health treatment.
