What You’ll Get to Do:
We are currently looking for a Project Manager for our Internet Program. In this Project Manager role, you must have extensive experience in managing Information Technology (IT) projects. You must have a good grasp of IT technologies and systems along with a good understanding of business drivers, processes, and interests.
You will be responsible for managing important IT projects. You will work with internal team members and external partners to develop project plans and communicate status of projects to stakeholders within and outside of the IT group.
You will drive the planning and coordinating activities of division IT projects; ensuring goals and objectives are accomplished within a prescribed time frame and funding parameters. You will drive the execution of work plans and activities under the division roadmap in accordance with the Project Management Framework.
You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and consultative skills, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, and proven leadership, negotiation and relationship management skills.
You should also have excellent presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate to varying levels of organizational management. You must also have strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
You should have demonstrated project leadership skills, including experience with all project lifecycle phases, including planning, analysis, specifications, quality assurance, process re-engineering, end-user training, and implementation and monitoring of compliance and metrics.
You need to have extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques.
You need to have the ability to capture thoughts and transform them into appropriate documents, whether it is vision statements, flow diagrams, and/or project charters.
You need to have hands on experience with implementing the Project Management Framework.
You must be skilled at building and cultivating relationships during project engagements to insure project success.
Utilize logic and business acumen to offer options and solutions that will address both technical and functional needs.
Create and maintain project plans for all assigned projects.
Track and report on scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timing.
Blend creativity, problem solving, and technical skills for refining existing approaches or developing new approaches.
Present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.
Gather functional and technical requirements using standard project management/business analysis methodologies including but not limited to interviews, document analysis, requirement workshops, use cases, workflow analysis etc.
Evaluate information gathered and prepare possible solutions to be presented to business units.
Facilitate and incorporate lessons learned and best practices.
Implement project tracking mechanisms to be able to provide timely and concise updates on project progress to senior management and key stakeholders highlighting areas of risk and capturing key decisions.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders such as mission partners and software vendors.
Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with senior leadership and functional managers throughout business areas.
Provide advanced support users, to include diagnosing and resolving issues related to systems and applications and customer processing.
Provide meeting facilitation, including development of meeting agenda and minutes.
Accurately capture and monitor status of action items through effective tracking tools and communication of progress.

Experience with Agile processes and methodologies
Education and Experience Requirements:
12 Years of job related experience and High School/GED diploma
10 Years of job related experience and Associate degree
8 Years of job related experience and Bachelor’s degree
6 Years of job related experience and Master’s degree
4 Years of job related experience and Doctorate
Formal training in project management methodology. PMI PM Certification preferred.
Strong proficiency with project scheduling tools such as Primavera Project Management or MS Project and MS Office suite.
