Dispatch Analyst

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for scheduling and dispatching all transport driver delivery routes as determined by customer requirements and priorities. The Dispatch Analyst serves as the direct line of contact between drivers and Harms Oil customers.

First point of customer and driver contact for our customers and transport drivers and all matters regarding transport dispatch.

Coordinate the delivery of petroleum products to effectively serve our customer needs.

Receive customer orders, verify specifications, quote pricing, and schedule deliveries.

Maximize truck and driver efficiency in fulfilling customer orders through scheduling, logistics, and load/trailer fit.

Create and communicate driver?s schedule daily. Communicate dispatch priorities in a clear and organized manner.

Ensure customer satisfaction through teamwork and the coordination of dispatch duties.

Utilize market information, Harms Oil?s internal systems and inventory levels to optimize pricing for customers based on location and availability. Communicate pricing daily to gas stations and resellers.

Maximize profitability of contract pricing inventory by monitoring and reacting daily.

Coordinate sharing of driver workforce with other locations to optimize customer service and address workload.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Organization and planning skills

High attention to detail

Proactive problem-solving and decision-making.

Warm and friendly verbal and written communication skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task with conflicting priorities in a pressured environment while maintaining a customer-oriented demeanor

Professional customer service skills

Understanding of market concepts and transportation logistics are a plus.

Computer skills, with knowledge of Excel and other basic office systems. Learned knowledge of Harms Oil’s internal dispatching systems.
