Data Center Auditor

We are building a team of dedicated and professional data center auditors to solve some common data center management problems in a focused approach. Data centers are populated by engineers with high value company assets that need care and feeding. Operations teams receive these systems and are charged with maintaining them and being able to respond when incidents occur based on the best knowledge they have of where and what assets are located. Management of data center assets changes over time, and new leadership needs to know what they are inheriting to know where to place their focus. Hardware refreshes every five to six years are always happening in some sector or another in a company’s data center(s). Leadership needs to know the install went according to the plan with a thorough quality check by an entity not tied to the documentation or the data center rack and stack group. A dedicated data center audit is a significant value add in these three cases for the General Operations Managers, new Chief Information Officers, and Project Managers.

A data center audit is most efficiently done and maintained accurately with a data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software tool. With this tool and physically examining the contents of data center cabinets, documenting what is where, creating discrepancy tickets, and creating living documentation is seamlessly done. Our dedicated data center auditors will be given introduction training on the tool we are using, and receive more in depth on the job, hands on training and experience with every audit project team they join.

Scheduling is done on an individual project basis. Seasonal or periodic participation with pauses is anticipated. If you want to pause for the summer, work only for the summer, or need to have it fit demands of another job you are still highly encouraged to apply.
